Families with Medically Fragile Children often experience very isolated lives in which their friends and even their extended families don’t understand the realities of their existence. As a part of Children’s Nursing Specialties mission, we plan frequent social and recreational experiences to enable families to come together and share stories and a meal with others who better understand their experiences. This reduces the social isolation and supports Keeping Families Together. Families are encouraged to share ideas on providing home based and family centered care to their medically fragile children.
