Employee of the Month
The “Employee of the Month” program was
established to acknowledge those individuals who demonstrate exceptional
work performance and display high regard for CNS and the families we
serve. In 2008 and again in 2010, we used our Core Values as a guide in choosing an employee that exemplifies all our core values while focusing on
one in particular. In 2009 our selection was based on another set of
values. Please join us in recognizing this months employee
for a “job well done!”

Tribute
In Memory of Jarred Schaper
Please
join us in sending prayers of comfort and peace to Jarred Schaper and
his family. Jarred passed away on Saturday, March 14th. Jarred was born
on November 29, 1999 with an infectious smile and eyes that could melt
your heart. Like most young boys, he was a bit of a prankster and loved
to tease. His nurses, Anne, Lynell, Maria and Donna were often on the
receiving end of his shenanigans and it was during these special moments
with Jarred that they developed a perpetual friendship built from love,
devotion and respect.
Jarred loved the time he spent at school and over the
years had developed close friendships with some of his classmates. When
he was sick and unable to attend school there was always excitement in
the air upon his return. When the students at Raleigh Park Elementary
heard of Jarred’s passing they began writing letters and creating
pictures for the Schaper family and placed them on Jarred’s desk and
wheelchair throughout the week.
Anne
Pierce had been a “Jarred nurse” for more than 8 years and when she
heard that he had passed away felt a calling to let his classmates know
how much they had impacted his life. She spent time on Tuesday morning
with the students and was moved by the outpouring of love and support.
Jarred’s friend Kevin drew a picture of Jarred with wings, standing
above the clouds, and calling down to his friend below saying “Kevin...I
can walk!”
Many of Jarred’s classmates spoke of Jarred’s amazing
smile that was directed to all, unconditionally.
So while we are saddened by his passing, we are
certain that Jarred is running, jumping, skipping...and undoubtedly
smiling.
Jared was selected as our featured face in September
