We are pleased to introduce to you Sandra Stene, new
to CNS and her position as Clinical Nurse Manager #2. Sandra comes to
CNS with a wealth of knowledge and host of experience. And a smile that
is indicative of her delightful character and compassionate disposition.
Pre-nursing, Sandra worked for eight years in early childhood
development. So when she chose a career in nursing, it made perfect
sense that her focus became pediatrics. Sandra earned a BSN from
Linfield College and worked early on in the NICU. While she appreciated
the experience, her true desire was to work one-on-one in the home with
medically fragile children. Shortly after, Sandra began working for
Pediatric Services of America (PSA), first as a field nurse and later as
Clinical Coordinator. The job was the best of both worlds. It allowed
Sandra to discover the world of management while also staying connected
with the clients and families.
So...you might be asking yourself...if she loved what she was doing, why
did she leave? Well here’s the scoop. Nine months ago Sandra gave birth
to her daughter Paloma and chose to take a few months off to be a mom.
In the meantime, her husband was offered a job in Montana. Fortunately
for us, cold weather was not their thing and they returned to Oregon
earlier this year. Sandra was looking for nursing opportunities and came
across our website. And well...the rest is history.
Sandra’s future plans include continued education to assist in her
growth and development here at CNS. And on more personal note, Sandra
would like to someday visit Bolivia, her homeland, and share the
experience with her husband and daughter.
