Welcome to Children’s Nursing Specialties, Inc. Who We Are

Children's Nursing Specialties, Inc. values the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of medically fragile children and young adults. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that began providing in-home skilled nursing on March 1, 2005. CNS is overseen by a board of directors that assumes full authority and responsibility for the operation of the Organization.

We have a proud commitment amongst our employees of offering the best possible care to the clients and families we serve. The success of CNS can be attributed to our employees knowledge, skill and commitment to providing outstanding client care. With the never-ending dedication and support from our nursing staff, we have created an organization committed to providing a service we can all be proud of.

Services We Offer

Children’s Nursing Specialties is the only non-profit provider of home-based skilled pediatric nursing care for medically fragile children and young adults in Oregon. Our children require extensive and skilled care by licensed Registered Nurses (RN) and licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) under the direct written orders of the children’s physician. In addition, CNS works with families to ensure that they are involved in decisions concerning their child’s care, and that they are in fact, the leaders of the home-based care team. Finally, our shift care allows families to be involved in life outside caring for a medically fragile child.  Parents have full time jobs, attend church, are involved in social and civic organizations and interact with friends and family.
